And you might as well pray for Liz and I, who will be sojourning with the Amish this weekend. Not just the Amish, mind you---also a ridiculously large number of high school students, rabid and ready for the agrarian life.
My desires for this weekend:
- sleep
- to till a field with a horse-drawn plow
- to milk a cow
- to pick up hens to get at their eggs
- to not be responsible for severing anyone else's limbs
I'll let you know how it goes.

Steve, your blog is causing me to stumble, and my vice du jour is jealousy. Sounds like a barn-shakin' good time, and I'd love to hear about it when you get back.
I'm sitting here in suspense. I've checked this blog at least 8 times wondering if you made it back from Virginia. Is it possible you severed your own limbs? What happened?
Elizabeth said what 'svs' actually said earlier. I really hate the 21st century. And sharing a computer with a blogger who does not fulfill his promises. If Steve would just tell us what happened when he visited the 18th century Amish folk then all of this mishap with my commenting would have been avoided.
Do I need to put more quarters in?
